On December 15, the award ceremony of 2021+ Color Trends Release and 3TREES Health+ Interior Design Rising Star Competition was held in Beijing. 

Liu Yi, Honorary President of China National Interior Decoration Association and Director of the Industry Development Strategy Committee, Zhang Li, President of China National Interior Decoration Association, Song Jianming, Vice President of China Fashion and Color Association and Professor and PhD Supervisor of China Academy of Art, Lao Zhiquan, former Secretary General and Vice Chairman of the Institute of Interior Design under the Architectural Society of China, Sun Huafeng, Chief Design Director of Dinghe Design, Li Ying, Managing Partner of HBA, Zeng Jianlong, founder of GreatDragon International Design Co., Ltd., Ricky Wong, founder of RWD, Lu Wei, Vice President of SKSHU Paint Co., Ltd., Liu Yuanxiu, General Manager of Decorative Paint Division of SKSHU Paint Co., Ltd., Zhao Hu, publisher of Interior Design China and other leading figures of the industry witnessed the exciting moment together.

On the day of the ceremony, 3TREES joined hands with Karl Johan Bertilsson, Creative Director at NCS Color and an authoritative expert in the color industry, to launch the 2021+ Color Trends. The ceremony also marked the conclusion of the five-month-long 3TREES Health+ Interior Design Rising Star Competition. The organizing committee presented awards to the top 30 contestants and announced the top three winners! 

At the 2021+ Color Trends launch event, Lu Wei said that since its establishment, 3TREES has been committed to fulfill the corporate mission of "making homes healthier and cities more beautiful" and uphold the brand philosophy of health, nature and green to ensure a better life for millions of households. The launch of the color trend is an important step in 3TREES’s color marketing strategy, and will contribute to 3TREES’s efforts to build a world-class coatings brand.

Zhang Li said that in this special year of 2020, no matter how the world changes, it will not stop people from pursuing a better life. Consumers today are becoming more rational and mature, and they also pay more attention to safety, green, environmental protection and health, as well as the experience of beauty and artistic feeling. It is perfectly meaningful for 3TREES to launch the color trends at the end of 2020!

Song Jianming pointed out that NCS is a very famous researcher and publisher of color trends in the industry. The cooperation between Karl and 3TREES, which features both the insights of the 2020 global trend and a thorough study of the Chinese market, and combines NCS' color trends with major fashion trends, provides designers with valuable color suggestions.

Due to the pandemic, Karl was unable to attend the conference in person. In the video address, he gave a deep analysis of 3TREES’s 2021+ Color Trends, and the four themes of art, home-made fashion, youth and sports.

After the speeches, the industry experts went onto the stage together to officially launch the 3TREES Color Trends.

In addition to the color trend release, the award ceremony for the 3TREES Health + Interior Design Rising Star Competition was also held on the day.

Since the launch of the competition in July 2020, more than 1,000 designers have submitted their works. The judging panel, which consists of eight industry experts (Lin Dedian, Zhao Hu, Lao Zhiquan, Ricky Wong, Sun Huafeng, Li Ying, Zeng Jianlong and Karl Johan Bertilsson), conducted a professional review of the works, and selected 30 award-winning designers. The work Listen designed by He Bangyi and Lv Bin from Yingzao Qingmei Interior Design won the Gold Award, the work Dessert Teacher designed by Wang Yuanwei from Yuanzuo Yuanchuang Design won the Silver Award, and the work In Vanity designed by Liao Yu from Chengdu Yuanse Yuansu won the Bronze Award.

At the award ceremony, Liu Yuanxiu said that the Rising Star Competition attracted the participation of many designers born in the 80s and 90s, whose excellent works represent the aesthetic preference and fashion trends of the younger generation. It shows that 3TREES’s effort to build a young, fashionable and healthy brand, which follows the trend of consumption upgrade and meets the needs of users, is well recognized by all consumer groups.
